The fever that Tilda got turned out to be
the beginning of a rather nasty flu, something like the Canarian equivalent to
our vinterkräksjukan. Fortunately Tilda did not throw up yet but she has had
high fever, a nasty cough and a messed up stomach. On top of that it started
raining some days ago and we had two days with really bad weather, so we spent
two very dull days indoor with a sick Tilda. The only thing we managed two do
was to get out and play some mini-golf one of the days. After three days of
high fever we took Tilda to the hospital for a check-up. Luckily it was as we
expected, just a nasty flu and nothing else.
We also visited “Las Dunas”, which is actually a pretty cool thing.
The city Maspalomas, where you will find Playa del Ingles, also has a rather large sand desert splitting the tourist area into two parts. This desert is called Las Dunas and it was actually more spectacular then what we had expected and we spent quite some time walking around in the sand dunes.
On the way back we stopped in a nearby village called Arguineguin where we had dinner at a really nice fish restaurant that some other waiters had recommended for us as being a place where the locals go to eat. The village Arguineguin was really pretty and all in all we had a really nice day, which was needed after hibernating in our flat for several days.
This night sadly Tilda’s fever returned but she seems to be rather ok anyway so we decided to do some relaxed and calm excursions never the less. We went to the village Puerto de Mogan and just walked in the port for an hour or two and had a coffee before going back to Amadores.
